a boutique studio for standout storytelling

Hi, I’m Laurel Bryant—founder, strategist, and the person behind the camera, keyboard, and calendar at Salt Spur Creative. After nearly a decade leading social and content for brands in hospitality, food & bev, and tourism, I decided it was time to build something of my own. Something lean, creative, and built around the kind of work I actually want to do.

Salt Spur is where I partner with brands that care about how they show up. The ones who want to connect with their community, not just post at them. I’ve created content for tourism boards, local startups, landmark restaurants, and luxury hotels. My favorite projects are the ones where I can get fully involved—learning the brand, spotting the moments, and becoming part of the team.

I started in destination marketing, then moved into editorial at The Local Palate, where I fell in love with Southern food culture and the people behind it. Most recently, I led social media for Beemok Hospitality Collection, shaping the voice and strategy for a portfolio of hospitality brands. The work I’m proudest of? Helping to launch Sorelle, an Italian restaurant in downtown Charleston that reminded me how much I love telling stories that start in the kitchen and stick with you long after.

I live on James Island with my husband and our two dogs, always inspired by the people doing cool, creative things in Charleston. I’m not building an agency. I’m keeping it small on purpose—so the work stays thoughtful, and the results stay strong.

If you’re looking for a content partner who actually gets it, you’re in the right place.
